Have you ever tried to search for something when you do not know what it is called? You type what you can, the results do not quite fit, and you are left wondering whether what you are feeling is worth seeing someone about.
Ask Jean is here to help with that. It is a new AI tool that lets you ask a health question in your own words and it will give you an answer drawn from Jean Hailes’ own health information.
There is a new chat icon at the bottom right of this page. Touch or click it and Ask Jean will open and you start asking it questions.
What you should know about Ask Jean
It only uses our information. Ask Jean answers from Jean Hailes content, the same clinically reviewed information already on this website. It does not search the internet. If it does not have the answer, it will tell you and suggest where else to look.
It is powered by AI, so it might not always get the right answer. We would like to know when it does so please use the feedback link in Ask Jean or contact us.
It cannot diagnose you. Ask Jean will not tell you what is wrong or recommend a treatment or medication. It is not a substitute for seeing a doctor or health professional.
It is not for emergencies. If you need urgent help, call 000.
Your privacy matters to us
You do not need to log in or tell us who you are. You do not need to enter your name or any personal details.
Please do not type anything that identifies you. Be assured, Ask Jean is encrypted and secured to the highest standard.
Tell us what you find
Ask Jean is new, and we are starting small. You will see it on this page and on some other pages across our website while we learn how it works in practice.
There is a thumbs up and thumbs down on every answer, and a short survey at the end of your conversation. If you would like to tell us something in more detail, please contact us.
You can also read more about how we approach AI and why we built Ask Jean.
Thank you
Ask Jean has been made possible by a generous grant from the Sisterhood Foundation.
