At Jean Hailes for Women’s Health, we believe gender should have no influence on health and wellbeing outcomes.
Our 2024–2028 strategy reflects this commitment. The strategy outlines the steps we’re taking to remove the barriers preventing women from achieving their best health and wellbeing at every life stage.
Our vision
An Australia where gender has no influence on health and wellbeing outcomes.
Our purpose
To empower women to enjoy their best health and wellbeing at every life stage.
What drives our strategy
We know women in Australia face a range of social, cultural and structural challenges that impact their health. That’s why our strategy focuses on:
- making health information more accessible, inclusive and actionable
- championing the needs of all women through strong, evidence-based advocacy
- elevating the standard of gender-responsive care across the health system
- strengthening partnerships that foster collaboration and drive change.
Our four strategic pillars
Our strategy supports our role as Australia’s most trusted leader in women’s health. With clarity and purpose, we’re working towards a more equitable health system for every woman, every community and every stage of life.
We create trusted, evidence-based content to help women make informed decisions about their health and wellness. We aim to:
- deliver health content where, when and how women need it
- address gendered knowledge gaps and barriers to care
- build an understanding that sex and gender affect health outcomes.
We use our voice and platform to:
- promote individual and community health needs
- identify and raise awareness of systemic inequities
- advocate for gender-responsive care across Australia.
We deliver high-quality care and share our expertise nationally to:
- offer best practice, multi-disciplinary support in our clinics
- build capacity in the health workforce
- embed a gender lens in health research, policy and care.
We collaborate across sectors to:
- develop inclusive, gender-informed content and initiatives
- engage trusted groups to better meet community needs
- act as a national connector for women’s health initiatives.
