Jo McConnell

Jo Mc Connell

Jo has over 20 years’ experience in large-scale organisations across people, culture, sustainability, reputation and transformation roles. She has worked in mining, financial services and energy sectors and brings a global and cross-industry perspective to helping complex, fast-paced organisations change, grow and perform.

Jo is passionate about leading positive change, both in business and society with a particular focus on gender equality and human rights. Other recent not-for-profit experience was as the CEO and Director of the Gomo Foundation, which supports girls in Africa to realise their potential through education.

Jo is currently the Executive General Manager People, Sustainability and Transformation at energy infrastructure company AusNet. Prior to that, Jo spent 4 years at Latitude Financial Services, a leading consumer finance company, as the Chief People Officer. Before going to Latitude, Jo was the inaugural Chief People Officer for the mining company created via a demerger from BHP, South32, following an 18-year career with BHP, working in multiple roles across Australia, the UK and Canada.

Jo is excited to become part of the Jean Hailes family and is committed to advancing women’s health as a foundation stone for gender equity, family wellbeing and community resilience.
