1-5 September 2025

In 2024, Jean Hailes Women’s Health Week shone a spotlight on some of the biggest issues in women’s health, under the banner ‘Your voice. Your choice’. Our goal was to give women the knowledge, tools and confidence to strengthen their voice and help them make informed health choices.

Over 5 days, we shared more than 40 free resources, including stories, fact sheets, podcasts, symptom checklists and step-by-step guides. We tackled health taboos, confronted sex and gender differences, and explored the world of nutrition. We also helped women get to know their body and start courageous conversations using our health information.

Many resources from the campaign continue to resonate. Our guide to vulval self-checks and the story of a woman’s lived experience with a sexually transmitted infection have amassed more than 7,000 views each. Our symptom checklists, designed to make complex medical conditions easier to discuss with a GP, have been viewed nearly 15,000 times.

Throughout Australia, we saw strong community engagement in the week with 1,970 events held across the states and territories. We were also overwhelmed by the support we received from our 33 community supporters and content contributors.
