When it comes to women's health, there is no such thing as a silly question. Do you have a question you want answered, but have been too afraid or embarrassed to bring it up with your GP? Or you forgot to ask while you were in the doctor's surgery? Now, you can 'Ask Dr Jean'.
This question has been answered by Jean Hailes endocrinologist (hormone specialist) Dr Sonia Davison (pictured).
Hello. Periodically I experience icy flushes, similar to hot flushes in menopause. When it passes, I need to urinate. I am 72 and this has only been happening in the last 12 months or so. My GP doesn't have an answer.
These are atypical symptoms and I would recommend referral to an endocrinologist who specialises in women's health and can investigate for causes of atypical flushes.
