"Women should not be dieting and trying to lose weight when they are pregnant. There are certain nutrition needs that must be met during pregnancy and very strict dieting puts that at risk. But if you are overweight or obese when you become pregnant you need to be aware of your weight and you need to be aware of what is a healthy weight gain during pregnancy,” says Dr Catherine Lombard, dietitian and director of healthy lifestyle at Jean Hailes.

"There is some preliminary promising research around the impact of acupuncture on menopause," says Professor Helena Teede, director of research at Jean Hailes for Women's Health in Melbourne. The research is a collaborative study between the University of Melbourne, Jean Hailes for Women's Health and Monash, RMIT and Southern Cross Universities.
