Samantha Cassar

Ms Samantha Cassar completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Human Movement as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours). She is currently completing her PhD at the Jean Hailes Foundation for Women’s Health Research Unit and Victoria University and is supervised by Professor Helena Teede and Dr. Nigel Stepto (Exercise Physiologist; Victoria University). The main focus of her research is insulin resistance and mitochondrial function in healthy weight women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Samantha has presented her honours work at an Australian conference and teaches at Victoria University.
