Dr Padaphet Sayakhot

Dr Sayakhot is completing a PhD in menopause after breast cancer treatment. She is an obstetrician and gynecologist and works under the supervision of Dr Vincent and Prof Teede. She is enrolled with the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Monash University and with the Jean Hailes Research Unit within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. Her research focuses on younger women diagnosed with breast cancer, particularly women who undergo treatment for breast cancer (such as, chemotherapy and ovariectomy) and experience menopausal symptoms post-treatment. Her research also focuses on partners of breast cancer women, Partners’ personal experience of having a female partner with both breast cancer and menopause, and focuses on clinical understanding and management of early menopause by Australian clinicians.
