The Jean Hailes PCOS Service
The Jean Hailes PCOS Service is an interdisciplinary specialist service providing coordinated assessment and management of PCOS. Women with a confirmed diagnosis of PCOS will see an Endocrinologist and attend education and lifestyle management sessions and be referred on to additional specialists as required. The female Endocrinologists working at the service are prominent clinicians and researchers in the PCOS field and have a deep understanding of the challenges women with PCOS face.
The service does not specifically treat infertility, however, preconception advice and lifestyle intervention is provided and women will be referred on for specialist fertility services if required.
The service is generally provided over two appointments and is held at the Jean Hailes Medical Centre, 173 Carinish Road, Clayton, Vic (Contact and location).
Do you live remotely?
You may be eligible to access the Jean Hailes PCOS Service via the Australian Government’s new Telehealth consultation initiative. The Telehealth initiatives were released to enable people living in rural, remote or outer metropolitan areas to access specialist care via video conferencing services.
To be eligible for this initiative, the location at which you conduct the video consultation must be considered ‘eligible’. To check your eligibility, visit www.doctorconnect.gov.au/internet/otd/publishing.nsf/Content/locator#metro
