Dr Elizabeth Farrell AM, MBBS, FRANZCOG, FRCOG, a consultant gynaecologist, was one of the driving forces that established the Jean Hailes Foundation. Dr Farrell is recognised worldwide for her expertise in menopause management. In 2006 she received an Inaugural Health Media Award, in 2009 she was made a Member of the Order of Australia for her services to women’s health, and from 2008 to 2010 Dr Farrell was the president of both the Australasian Menopause Society and the Asia Pacific Menopause Federation.
