29 November 2013 - Anxiety resource launch event

anxiety.jeanhailes.org.auJean Hailes is proud to have developed an innovative online resource to help women understand and manage anxiety.

With 1 in 3 women in Australia experiencing an anxiety disorder in their lifetime, it is hoped that this new website will guide women through the stages of anxiety with easy to understand information, self-assessment and self-management tools, videos with experts and podcast stories from real women.

Anxiety: learn, think do was launched in Melbourne by Senator the Hon. Michaelia Cash, the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Women.

Jean Hailes gratefully acknowledges funding for this resource from MLC Community Foundation.

George McEncroe, comedian
Kaz Cooke, columnist, author and cartoonist
Monica Dux, writer, social commentator

About the event

‘Reader, I married him’ is among the world’s most famous literary quotes. Why? Marriage is one of the most life-changing of events, rivalled only by births and deaths – our entry and exit from this world.

Comedian George McEncroe gets serious about these milestones – and how they can transform us – with the help of guests who’ll share their personal and professional experiences.

George will apply her signature wit as she dives deep into the conversational waters, navigating the big issues from all angles.

Joining us for Births will be Kaz Cooke, Monica Dux and Jane Fisher.
