Leading Australian experts will speak about midlife and menopause issues on Tuesday 30 September at the Woodvale Reception Centre.
National organisation the Jean Hailes Foundation for Women’s Health has joined with WOMEN’S Healthworks to bring expert women’s health speakers to the local community.
Women are invited to hear the latest information about options for treating menopause symptoms including herbal and hormone therapies as well as detailed information about what you can do yourself to look after your own wellbeing.
Speakers include gynaecologist Dr Margaret Smith and naturopath Sandra Villella as well as local WOMEN’S Healthworks worker Louise Durack. Media personality Verity James will MC the evening.
WOMEN’S Healthworks Executive Director Mandy Stringer encourages women to attend the evening. “This is a great opportunity to learn more about your options at menopause, particularly in the current climate where there is a lot of confusion about hormone therapy. You’ll hear about what you can do at home to look after your physical and emotional health, including eating the right foods and being more physically active.”
For bookings call 9300 1566. Cost is $10, payable at the door (light supper provided). For more information...
