Stepping out of our comfort zone and trying something new is never easy, whether it's at home, at work, with friends or in our own personal space.

Women & alcohol: to drink or not to drink |

Alcohol is a topic which frequently appears in the media and often we are presented with mixed messages. One minute red wine is good for your heart and the next it may be increasing your risk of cancer.
In Australian society there is certainly a drinking culture - and it isn't just amongst young people. Women of all ages are drinking at levels harmful to their health.

The revolving door: cooking for changing needs |

Today, the changing nature of relationships and work means that not everyone lives in a traditional family with two parents and 2.4 children.
Some people may live on their own or with a partner, others may work long hours away from home. Separated parents may have children for only part of the week and there are also those with adult children who ‘revolve’ in and out of home.
Some days you may find you have a house full of guests and sometimes it may be just you at home. It can be difficult to adjust to cooking varying amounts, and cooking for one or two may seem like a lot of unnecessary effort.

Want to feel better, have more energy and maybe even live longer? Getting active can be simple, affordable and fun and has benefits for everyone.
Today, more than half the Australian adult population is not active enough to maintain good health. With obesity, heart disease, diabetes and depression on the increase, there has never been a better time to get moving.
The good news is that it’s never too late to become active. Beginning or resuming activity at any age will benefit your health.
