Our Program

The Jean Hailes Foundation for Women’s Health Community Education Program (CEP) provides speakers to deliver information sessions on a range of topics for the 35+ woman.

Topics Available

1. Health and wellbeing of the 35-45 woman

  • Healthy lifestyle

  • Health screenings

  • Reproductive health:
    - Menopause
    - Premenstrual Syndrome
    - Fertility (Early Menopause, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Endometriosis)
    - Gestational Diabetes

2. Health and wellbeing of the midlife woman (45-55)

  • Healthy lifestyle/health screenings

  • Menopause:
    - What is menopause?
    - Managing symptoms (lifestyle, hormone therapy (HT), natural therapies)

3. Health and wellbeing of the 55 + woman

  • Healthy lifestyle/health screenings

  • Specific health topics:
    - Cardiovascular health
    - Diabetes
    - Osteoporosis
    - Incontinence

4. Osteoporosis

  • What is Osteoporosis?

  • Who is at risk?

  • Prevention and management

 5. Women’s Health and Wellbeing

General information on:

  • Healthy lifestyles

  • General health screening

Information sessions are:

  • presented by one of our specifically trained health educators
  • suitable for community groups, women’s clubs, health professional groups, and workplace groups
  • one hour in duration (45 minute power point presentation and 15 minute Q&A)
  • informal and friendly
  • for groups of 10-100
  • available across metropolitan and regional Victoria
