Professional Development Sessions for GPs and Health Professionals
The Jean Hailes Foundation for Women's Health is able to provide professional development opportunities for medical practitioners, nurses and allied health professionals through a variety of personally designed one hour to one day workshops.
Speakers comprise medical specialists including gynaecologists, endocrinologists, general practitioners, psychologists, natural therapists and physiotherapists with special interest and expertise in women’s midlife health.
Presentations may include:
- Hormone Therapy – Risks, Benefits, Controversies
- Nutrition and Lifestyle
- Osteoporosis and bone health at midlife
- Emotional/sexual/relationships for woman at midlife
- Premature menopause
- Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome
- Diabetes & Cardiovascular Risks related to midlife health
- Naturopathic Therapies and Complementary Therapies
In addition, presentations can be developed to meet the needs of the group requesting the speaker. The Jean Hailes Foundation is an RACGP Accredited Provider. Presentations can also be accredited by ACRRM.
The Jean Hailes Foundation for Women's Health provides professional development for health professionals through a range of other programs. Examples are clinical audits, supervised clinical attachments, train the trainer workshops on midlife health.
