Supervised Clinical Attachment Print E-mail

The Jean Hailes Foundation offers eight Women’s Health and Wellbeing Supervised Clinical Attachments each year. The attachments offer health practitioners the opportunity to observe consultations by women’s health specialists on a number of health issues including:

  • Menopause
  • Premature Menopause
  • Preventative healthcare and screening
  • Contraception
  • Management of breast lumps, abnormal mammograms, breast pain
  • Management of abnormal vaginal bleeding
  • Management of osteoporosis / osteopaenia
  • Hormone Therapies
  • Complementary Therapies including herbal therapies, naturopathy, acupuncture
  • Assessment and management of Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Cardiovascular risks 

The duration of clinical attachments is negotiable however 2-3 day attachments are encouraged for optimal learning. If completing a clinical attachment to obtain Category 1 CPD points with the RACGP a minimum of 10 hours is required. PDP points for ACRRM are also available. 

No fee is charged for the attachments as The Foundation is committed to supporting health professionals to provide quality care for women. 

Applications will be considered from all around Australia.
