Study on effects of exercise on bone density*
The Jean Hailes Foundation for Women's Health will occasionally list details of studies being undertaken by other organisations with no association to the Foundation but may be of interest to women and their health professionals.
Do you have Osteopenia?
Volunteers are required to take part in a study which is looking at the effects of exercise on bone density.
Participants need to be
All assessments and exercise programs are covered by the project.
If you are randomized into the control group you may still do your usual exercise regime.
All participants receive Swisse calcium at no cost.
Four YMCA's are involved in the study - Ashburton, Northcote, Macleod and Ascot Vale.
