Speakers for Community Groups - Community Education Program

Information sessions are:

  • presented by one of our specifically trained health educators
  • suitable for community groups, women’s clubs, health professional groups, and workplace groups
  • one hour in duration (45 minute power point presentation and 15 minute Q&A)
  • informal and friendly
  • for groups of 10-100
  • available across metropolitan and regional Victoria

Presentations are available in five areas:

  • Health of the 35-45 woman
  • Health of the midlife woman (45-55)
  • Health of the 55 + woman
  • Osteoporosis
  • Women’s Health and Wellbeing

In addition, we are happy to gear presentations in response to specific requests.

Women's Reference Group

The Women's Reference Group provides information and advice from a consumer perspective, which enhances the role and work of The Jean Hailes Foundation for Women's Health. 

The Group aims to be broadly representative of a range of women from the community and is made up of women aged between 45-65 who are mid-life or peri-menopausal. 

Recruiting methods targeted:

  • women who have attended previous workshops, 
  • The Jean Hailes Foundation for Women's Health volunteers,
  •  women from culturally diverse background, and 
  • "professional consumers". 

It is a politically neutral group and not a vehicle for other organisations' agendas.
