The Jean Hailes Foundation for Women's Health mission is to be a world-class health service for women, working through education, clinical practice and research to:

enable women to be responsible health consumers and to make lifestyle choices that sustain their health and wellbeing

encourage women to take up and use preventative health strategies

respect and work with women's concerns, needs and choices

improve service responses to the healthcare needs of Australian women approaching, at, and beyond midlife
-
develop evidence-based guidelines and frameworks for the management of women's health approaching, at, and beyond midlife, with particular attention to specific groups including older women, rural women, Indigenous women, and women from culturally diverse backgrounds
-
educate healthcare professionals in the prevention, early detection and management of illness experienced by women, particularly approaching, at, and beyond midlife
-
support evidence-based practice by general practitioners and other health professionals working with women and their families
The Jean Hailes Foundation for Women's Health develops and undertakes innovative research, education and clinical programs to promote the development and implementation of the key health strategies for women.
