Women’s Health on the Agenda
Actively improving your health at midlife is the subject of an upcoming evening session run by health experts on Tuesday, 8 March from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Manningham City Council Function Room, Doncaster.
The session is the result of a successful partnership between women’s health specialists, The Jean Hailes Foundation and Manningham City Council, designed to bring up to date health information to women in a community setting.
According to Jean Hailes Community Nurse Educator, Sara Knight who will speak about managing menopause, it is never too late for women to start looking after their health. ”Even for people who have led sedentary lifestyles in their younger years, now is the time to think about appropriate nutrition and exercise, because it will make a difference", she said. “It’s about setting small achievable goals – every journey starts with the first step.”
The Jean Hailes Foundation - renowned specialists in women’s health at midlife - has a long record of running women's health programs. In the past five years they have addressed thousands of women from communities across Australia. The Jean Hailes Foundation prides itself on encouraging women to invest in their health.
