Choices at Midlife – Health Session in Bendigo for Women

Australian Education Union (AEU) members are invited to attend a special midlife women’s health event at 7pm on May 2 at James King Hall, Bendigo Senior Secondary College in Rosalind Park, presented by experts from the Jean Hailes Foundation for Women’s Health.

The Foundation has formed a partnership with the AEU to educate women about health and wellbeing. The AEU is very aware that education is a demanding area to work in and is keen to support its’ members in managing professional pressures and health issues.

Jean Hailes GP Dr Marnie Newman and Foundation naturopath Ms Sandra Villella will talk about menopause, treatment of symptoms including herbal and hormone therapies, self-management strategies including healthy eating and physical activity, as well as emotional health and wellbeing. Women can also hear from local Bendigo Community Health about local health services.

The Jean Hailes Foundation for Women’s Health is the leader in women’s health education for Australian women and the country’s general practitioners. For further information on women’s health or to receive their free women’s health magazine call 1800 151 441 or visit their website at www.jeanhailes.org.au.

Bookings for the evening are essential.

Please call Barb Cuffley on 5442 2666. Cost is $10. Registration, tea and coffee available from 6.30pm.
